This more of an update and Shawnta's mindless rambles in one kind of post. I have never seen a person who longs to be organized as much as I do, but still have her life in total chaos! I mean I guess I don't do too bad considering that 3 days a week I am only in my house and awake (that's the important part)for maybe 3 hours. I mean really what am I suppose to do in that time? Waste on the internet of course! I am the person with about 10 organizational books but still haven't got that sewing room together to really get things moving. This morning I finally had enough of sleeping on fabric and patterns and put them all downstairs.

I have 5 boxes of patterns(about three of them are vintage patterns I won off of ebay) and that is not all of them. I got three more patterns yesterday. It's like I can't help but add on to the pile.

Cutting Mat oh Cutting Mat why are you so stinky!

I brought two these cutting mats yesterday at Walmart and man are they stinky! I've wiped them down and everything but they still smell like moldy cardboard or something. I got two Black Ice car trees in the sewing room now to try to mask the funk.

I've also decided to take up knitting and crocheting because obviously I have 40 hours in my day while everyone else gets 24! HA!


Is this cute or have I bumped my head? I'm thinking my locs would look lovely in one of those.

I thought this would make a lovely yarn basket. I found it in a closet. My house surprises me with stuff sometimes like "Merry Christmas" remember this?

I believe it held a plant pot that has long since died. Spiders had decided to make nests in it so I took it outside to spray it down. Hopefully no mutated spiders genetically modified with bleach don't come and get me.

I burned myself on the dryer at the laundromat yesterday :/

I didn't get to put on makeup cause we went early and plus I really need to decide what I am doing with my eyebrows like today.
Well I'm going get back to my cleaning and spider dodging!

Whoa!

Just when I thought I was getting good with updating! Well life has been super busy but I hope to restore some order tomorrow. Yes people I'm going to the laundry mat tomorrow!!! I can't take it anymore, it's like it never ends when I'm doing a load here and there when I'm home so I'm taking EVERYTHING there first thing in the morning. Even the damn curtains coming too.LOL!

I wont bore y'all to long with a pictureless post, but I haven't been wearing one single sprinkle of makeup these days but I will try to pull something together for the laundry mat tomorrow. Gotta look fly while I'm folding some Dora draws ya know :) Mama Lynne has beat me to it all ready on the buff swatches but I will compose my look with them.

Sewing class was nice, I half way sort of kinda have a skirt! I kind of flaked out in the last half an hour and but my invisible zipper in wrong then had to nerve to not use basting stitches so I spent the rest of the class trying to rip that sucka out. Thanks to a youtube video I was able to figure it out though. The teacher had us sew up the side seam up to the zipper point and then insert the zipper, but everywhere else was saying do that before you attach the sides together so I ripped out one side and was able to pin it correctly. Now I just need to sew in the zipper and sew up the side, attach the hook n eye at the waist and hem it and it should be done!!!! Maybe I might have that to show tomorrow too.

It's not really going :(
But it's not going because for some reason I hate transferring all those little marks on to the fabric and I just want to jump on the machine, but it doesn't work that way. You end up with some uneven crap that doesn't amount to anything if you don't follow the damn directions!
I'm so anal yet so rebellious at the same time :)
You never know where you will learn a bit more about yourself.
But have no fear my class is tomorrow!!!!
And I'm still in love with my machine, fabric , patterns and buttons, so I don't think I will be putting this aside anytime soon.

Question to any of the sewers who visit my blog..... Do you ever feel drunk or dizzy with the possibilities? Right now I'm drooooooooooling over some fabric and patterns and just day dreaming how gorgeous they would be if only I could sew :(

But life is a little unfair as there was only 1 yard and .722 left, which is only enough for a short jacket or blouse with my measurements as my top is a lil smaller than my bottom ;)

I would use the eyelet for view C which is a jacket and pants view D for the solid pink fabric.

OR


Make the eyelet in view F but without the pockets. What do you think?

Laundry is evil in my house and it is the one thing that really keeps me from feeling in control of my house. It's like there is never enough hours in the day to get all washed, dryed, and put away. I swear my clothes are fucking in my basement and multiplying! *sorry it's late and I have a potty month which seems to get very off the hook after ummm midnight*

I love cookie dough too Makeup_Goddess! We might not ever get to actually "bake" the dough in my house, and I buy the big ass jumbo roll when I get a craving.

Never leave my bed! Sike, that's the sleep depravation talking! UMmmm travel, travel, travel. Invest. Get this fat roll that I got moved up to boobs!
