Yeah so miss iwannastayupallhoursofthenightontheinternet could not get up this morning and did not have enough time to do a proper look so I had to settle for amber lights and orphaus liner, which is alright but the look had so much potential with the pretty scarf I had on my head. :(
Yeah....umm the locs need to be done but I still want to be cute so I put on a scarf that a client from the office brought for me from Egypt. <3 I really wish could have woken up earlier because I would have worn something different to highlight the scarf. Anywhoo better luck next time.
I went to CCO in Arundal Mills today and got Rule, Falling Star, Big T, and Mystery. Once I get my items I brought off of Specktra my first palatte will only have one space missing. I need a good green. I already have wondergrass, overgrown, club, humid, and swimming. Any ideas on another must have green? I to work on my pinks, highlights, browns, and deeper blues. It was funny at the CCO cause the SA that waited on my started playing in the eyeshadows with me! :) I also got the brown shader in maple and maple/soft charcoal and clinque's take off the day makeup remover.
I have gotten my pigment samples, corn shadestick, and chrome yellow in the mail :)
I also got sage fuildline and I'm like "why?". I don't know why I got another one when I haven't learned to put it on at all. :P
I'm starting to organize the collection now. I have started a notebook in OneNote to keep track of what I have, my wish list, and looks I want to try.(love my Office 2007)

I just had to share. You know the old song that says 'what's new pussycat, whoa whoa whoa' . Right? Well my 4 year old must have heard this somewhere and she has created her own version which is 'watch me with a cat whoa whoa whoa'. I'm dying right now with laughter.
It's after 12 and I still have one orange/blue eye which means I haven't washed my face yet. UGGGGHHH I hate being lazy on a Sunday. It really effects your week if you could get all your shit done on Sunday, but what am I doing......................... vegetating in front of my computer. *Sigh*

Just thought I would throw this in there. Just some greens I did to match my wonderful itchy wool sweater. I think it was swimming and club over top of rubenesque.

First of all this is just me playing around so I only did one eye. I'm disappointed because the Fab N Flashy really doesn't show that bright on me. I swapped on the back of my hand and it really doesn't show, however I still like it because if it was too bright I probably couldn't wear it for work.
I think the combo is good so yeah to MA that recommended it. I think the Fab N Flashy would like good with the Coppering I have coming. I really like the Freshwater. I think it would look good with greens and blues.

This is the first time I lined the bottom lid with eyeshadow. I have seen it on youtube and a lot of FOTD's so I decided to give it whirl. I wet the brush (219 like) a little and that made the application easier.
So I went to Sephora to return that $27 lotion that was doing absolutely nothing but taking up space, and I went to the MAC store in Columbia to return my empty pots. I got Humid as my free shade and I picked up amber lights and freshwater. The MA said that the freshwater is what she paired with the Fab N Flashy.

Today I went to the Mac freestanding store in Towson mall and got my first palette! I still have Seedy Pearl and Tilt in there pots because I kinda have a idea of what I want in this one. Blues and browns will probably have there own, and maybe one for pinks, reds, grays, and blacks. So you know what that means kids...... I can do a back2Mac with my 6 empty pots!!!!! I don't know what I want yet though. I used my wet 2 straight flat iron to depot and it was very easy. I think my next purchases will be Humid, Amber lights, and Chrome Yellow. I got a Sparkle face palette on Specktra. It has Honey Lust, Beauty Mark, Showstopper, Pink Mink in it along with Variety base and two lipsticks(Gel and another I can't remember off hand).
In other news Miss M got her braids taken out. It is a shame that her mother is that lazy :) It would have taken me weeks while it only took Keveta three hours. I will wash and press it in the AM. My lashes came!!!!! I will def have to cut those suckers in half I think. I will try to do a look with them tomorrow and see how it goes.
Hair Pics as Promised!

Yesterday was the 5 year anniversary of me starting my locs. I wanted to commemorate the event with a side by side picture of them when I first started them and what they look like now, but the laptop with those pictures on it is in the dungeon (aka the basement) ,and with working late last night I did not get a chance. :( Today is an early day today so I should hopefully be able to upload that so you guys can see. They have come a long way, and I love them! I know I was sounding unsure about what I wanted to do with them, but after that post I did my maintenance and I feel in love with them all over again. Maybe I should keep my hands in them more :)
I know that it is "just hair" but for me my locs chronicles my transformation as a person.....and I'm still growing. November 26, 2001 I cut my below shoulder length relaxed hair all off to a very very very short fro, like maybe an inch of hair on my hair when picked out. I started working at the office I'm at now around that time and was introduced to a more natural way of living. The office specialized in acupuncture and using herbs instead of pharmaceutical drugs for healing. I tried out vegetarianism but couldn't quite get it together, I did not cook anymore meat products, but if I was out or at someone else's home I would eat meat. Spirit started introducing me to certain books, and sadly I must admit that I haven't read many of the books I have all the way through, but I know they are on my bookcases for a reason. Books like Heal Thy Self by Queen Afua, Healing with Wholefoods by Paul Pitchford, all of the books by Amos Wilson, and Nile valley contributions by Anthony Browder just to name a few. I grew my hair out for a year just wearing it in afros and two strand twist, but I decided to "see" what my hair would look like straightened. I had my aunt press my hair the old fashion way with a hot comb on the stove, and it had grown a lot, but it was very uneven. My cousins were all saying I would have to cut my hair to even it out and I was not about to do that so I washed my hair said hello to my curls and vowed not to straightened my hair again. Now I'm not opposed to trimming your hair but it was just the fact that when it was in the afro puffs and two strand twists I got all these complements, and the minute I try to conform and go back to what was normal in appearance, here was negativity. Shortly after that on November 20, 2002 I started my locs with two strand twist. My second child conceived in November as well so I kind of them of her and my locs as "twins". I could see the benefits of the change of lifestyle with my second pregnancy because I didn't have gestational diabetes the second time around like I did with Miss M, and my weight was around 165lb @ 9months with B instead of 185lb @ 9 months with M. After I had Miss B I decided to change my diet completely and went to a vegan diet. So I've been vegan about 3 years now and my weight maintains at 120lbs.
I'm still growing like I said before, and I'm still collecting books on topics like yoga, positive thinking, healing, African culture, and different cultures like taoism and Buddhism. So I'm still finding my path and purpose and sometimes it's hard not really knowing in spirit what you should be doing but one thing I can say is that the saying "God is good, all the time" is very true no matter what faith you are because I feel that nothing that I experience or feel is not out of my divine order, it is just my reaction that deems it good or bad, and if I connect more with spirit then I will always say "It is good"
Ok so last night/morning I was up until 2am for no freakin reason other than being haunted, but I did go on drugstore dot com and order my false eyelashes. yay!! I brought two of the dollar ones and one human hair Ardell. I can't remember the numbers right now but as soon as they come I will post pics.
Well today I went to CCO in Arundal Mills and I got Swimming, Fab N Flashy, Sushi Flower, and Wondergrass. I got Overgrown and Club from Ebay in the mail on Saturday. Blacktrack and Uppity fluidline and Rubenesque paint pot on Friday. I think I am going to start a Word or Excel document wishlist and maybe put the corresponding picture beside the color.
Yesterday I showed my brilliance as a 6 year old boy told me I spelled inconvenience wrong on a notice I was told to make up about the heat. I was so embarrassed. The funny thing is nobody else pointed it out so maybe all the other adults are just as dumb as me : ) I know your mind takes over when you know what is trying to be conveyed but good grief. Maybe I need to put "become a better speller on 43things"
Of course you can't tell because of crap-o-camera but today I did full foundation and eye makeup just so I could get some motivation to leave my house.

It is so cold at my job it is not even funny. I feel like I am developing arthritis in my fingers from it. I had absolutely no time for anything this morning because again I hit snooze instead of getting my a$$ up! So I only have UD Big Fatty Mascara and Rosebud Strawberry lip balm on today. *blah*

My off day's never turn out how I want them to be. I'm always getting caught up in something or staying somewhere too long, and before I know it the day is done.
Today is the first day of Project Runway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. It's also a Lakers game tonight I will probably be flipping back and forth.
Today was a rest day for the face. I did absolutely no make up, not even mascara. :0 I may play around with tomorrows look though. I am thinking about doing a look with sweet sienna. I looked at some digital cameras today so I can get in my mind what to ask for a Christmas time. ;)
Any recs would be appreciated. I just want a good camera so I can take better pictures of my hair and makeup when I feel like it.
Today was the first day back from a weeks vacation. It's so hard to get back into the groove after being away so long and what is worse I feel like I wasted my time off and did not get anything I had planned on doing accomplished. I will plan better for the 2 weeks off at the end of the year. The day didn't go to bad, just sooooooooo many people to call back.
Today I did a simple look that emphasizes the eye and mutes the rest of the face. I got the idea from Stephienese.
I got a lot of compliments on the look.
Well November 20 will make it 5 years baby! I really do love my hair but sometimes I feel like maybe it's time for us to part ways, because I get really apathetic about its maintenance or maybe my view of beauty has changed over the years. That lil bush at the front doesn't compel me twist like it once did.
I am however getting back into makeup which probably seems silly..... un-kept head, dolled up face. :P I finally went to Sephora in Columbia and OMG!!! You could get lost in that sucker. I got some new colors at MAC. She did a smokey pink/purple look on me which came out really nice. I got a paint Canton Candy and three eye shadows Seedy Pearl, Hepcat, and Sketch. I will upload a picture of the look.
So this is my youngest....she's a camera hog so y'all might be seeing a lot of her.
Still haven't decided what to post here. I'm getting into a lot of things so I guess I will make this a sounding board so to speak, maybe replace my journaling that I suck at.
It's late and I'm not sure what I am doing.... I'm not good at keep a hand written journal so...........we'll see : D
